MCCC 2004-5 Theme, Mission statement Theme: Pray & Reach Out (Jeremiah 33:3) Mission statement: Build up life through prayer in Christ and witness the Gospel through service life in order to glorify God's name Reasoning: The theme is to reflect our church's spiritual aspiration and to steer its life. Cable Street Building Project, as we know, is a huge challenge which will occupy our life for some time. Our vision of this project should not just be the building, but the spiritual life of our church. First of all the building should be a prayer temple and a light-house for Chinese community in Manchester. We have seen in recent years many Mandarin speaking Chinese including students, labourers and scholars, which is changing the face of Chinese community here. Our church has to take this challenge with a mission spirit. In order to catch the spirit we should be exposed to the wider mission field in the rest of the world.
