Senior Pastor Lee Siu Quek
Born in Malaysia and happily married to a full time minister with two lovely teenage daughters. She accepted Christ as her saviour at the age of 9 and responded to God’s full-time call in 1999. She studied accountancy at the University Putra Malaysia and theology at the Bible College of Malaysia. She has served 15 years in Calvary Church (Assemblies of God) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 10 years as Children’s Pastor and Pastor of the church and 5 years as Missionary with her family in Algeria, North Africa. Before moving to Manchester in 2022, she served 3 years as the Children, Youth and Family Pastor in the Protestant Church in Oman. She is a foodie who loves to bake and cook. She enjoys traveling to appreciate and experience other cultures too.
Pastor Kenneth Kwok
Married with 2 children. Born in Hong Kong and came to study in the UK in 1995. By the grace of God, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Saviour in the same year and was baptised by Manchester Chinese Christian Church in the following year. Then, called by God into full time ministry he studied the BA(Hons) Theology and Pastoral Studies at Nazarene Theological College, Manchester. Graduated in 2001 and began to serve in MCCC in the following year. Ordained by MCCC in 2008 and serving mainly in Cantonese ministries and the MCCC Advice Centre.
Pastor Gary Wong
Pastor Gary Wong received God’s calling in 2001. In 2004, he joined the Bachelor of Ministry theology program at Chinese Overseas Christian Mission (COCM), graduating in 2008. He has been serving in Manchester Chinese Christian Church since then. By the grace of God, he was ordained in 2014 and is serving as Pastor in the Cantonese morning service. Gary serves in the Cantonese Ministries, looking after the Eternal Grace congregation. He is also engaged in gambling rehabilitation ministry.
Minister Wayne Zhang
Born and grew up in Henan Province of China, he gained a diploma of education from Anyang Teachers’ College at the age of 20. After graduation, he moved to Urumqi, a frontier city in Western China, and taught physics at a middle school for eight years. Then he engaged himself in a specialised tourism service, which organized and guided European tourists in desert trekking, mountaineering, and self-driving in China. He heard the gospel and professed Jesus as Lord during the Christmas holiday in 1988 under the encouragement of some North American missionaries. Since then, for many years, he was under the nurture and discipleship of those missionaries. About 10 years later, he started attending and preaching at local fellowships, and became one of the core leaders when later the local church was formally established. In November 2012, along with his wife and their two daughters, he came to the UK and worked with World Horizons as a missionary. From the beginning of 2020, he became a minister of MCCC. He will complete his 2-year Graduate Diploma in Theology at UST (Union School of Theology) at the end of 2020.
Minister Qingxin Yao
Qingxin is married with 2 sons. She was born in Nanjing, China; she moved to Manchester with her husband in 1999 and believed in Christ two months later. She was baptised at MCCC in 2003. She received God’s call in 2011 and led by his Grace, she enrolled herself in GETS Theological Seminary (English Campus), while working as part-time staff and involving herself in various church duties for Mandarin Congregations at MCCC. Upon completing her Associate’s Degree in Divinity in 2014, she began preaching at Mandarin congregations. She graduated from her Pastoral Studies in 2018, and was appointed as a Mandarin minister in MCCC in 2019.
Minister Sherman Cheung
Sherman received Christ as his saviour during his secondary education in Hong Kong and was baptised in Kowloon City Baptist Church in 1980. After that, he worked in IT positions in various investment institutions for 15 years in Hong Kong following his HND Computer Studies in Brighton Polytechnic and an MBA in Strathclyde Business School. In 2003, he responded to God’s calling to a lifelong dedication by studying the Bachelor of Divinity at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and he has been serving as a church minister since then. He is driven by the love of God and dedicates himself to serving God and His people. He is commissioned by the commands of the Lord Jesus Christ; to share life and witness Him; to equip people with discipleship training; and to empower people with God’s words. He moved here with his family from Hong Kong in 2018 and started as a Cantonese minister in MCCC in 2019.
