Senior Pastor Kim Lau
His parents migrated from Hong Kong but he was born in Bristol, UK. Married to a lovely Singaporean he has four beautiful daughters. He discovered Christ as his Saviour and Lord at the age of 17 and preached his first sermon not long after! However, he gained his PhD as a physiologist and worked in the US and the UK as an academic physiologist before relinquishing academia to serve the church. He studied theology at Manchester University and has been a minister at MCCC since 1997. He currently serves as Senior Pastor while overseeing the English Ministries. His interests include Islam, cooking and sci-fi – not necessarily in that order.
Pastor Kenneth Kwok
Married with 2 children. Born in Hong Kong and came to study in the UK in 1995. By the grace of God, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Saviour in the same year and was baptised by Manchester Chinese Christian Church in the following year. Then, called by God into full time ministry he studied the BA(Hons) Theology and Pastoral Studies at Nazarene Theological College, Manchester. Graduated in 2001 and began to serve in MCCC in the following year. Ordained by MCCC in 2008 and serving mainly in Cantonese ministries and the MCCC Advice Centre.
Pastor Gary Wong
Pastor Gary Wong received God’s calling in 2001. In 2004, he joined the Bachelor of Ministry theology program at Chinese Overseas Christian Mission (COCM), graduating in 2008. He has been serving in Manchester Chinese Christian Church since then. By the grace of God, he was ordained in 2014 and is serving as Pastor in the Cantonese morning service. Gary serves in the Cantonese Ministries, looking after the Cable Street congregation. He is also engaged in gambling rehabilitation ministry.
Assistant Minister Sandy Wong
She was born in HK. She studied the BA(Hons) Fashion and Textiles in Nottingham, and worked in a Design and Merchandizing Department in HK and London. She knew about Jesus and prayed the Lord’s Prayer from the 1st year of Primary School. She committed her faith to Him and played an active role serving in a church when she lived and worked in London. Subsequently, she answered God’s calling and studied in the Bachelor of Ministry program at the Chinese Overseas Christian Mission (COCM) Bible College, where she met her husband, now Pastor Gary Wong. They have an adorable son. She currently serves as a Volunteer Assistant Minister in MCCC. Her passion is to see Christ being known and honoured, and to equip believers to be God’s disciples.
